Fall 2018 Volume 111, Number 1 Dear Readers, T he fall issue of PAN PIPES after a triennial convention is always a difficult issue to create, as there are so many wonderful memories to share and just so much space to do it in! We have chosen to feature a few key events and topics on the following pages, and we will continue to share additional highlights in each future issue this year. This edition focuses on the newly elected fraternity leaders, award winners, and the conclusion of the Pan's Cottage Campaign. In addition to the convention coverage, Jayne Hanlin takes us on a tour of another great musical instrument museum, we have an update from the MET, and a number of SAI members share their music education insight and experiences. One exciting item to note on page 52: the Boury Music Collection is offering a special opportunity just for SAI members this year. Be sure to read the details and take advantage of its available resources. Would you or someone you know like to share an article, review, interview, or personal story in PAN PIPES? We welcome new music related items to share with our PAN PIPES readers. Please contact me at SAIPanPipesEditor@gmail.com so we can discuss your potential involvement. I can't wait to hear from you!
