Winter 2019 4 PAN PIPES At the Friday Welcome Luncheon, Friend of the Arts Dr. Jerome Bierschenk directed a performance of "Daughters of Music" written by National Arts Associate James Adler and Fort Worth Alumnae member Debra Rue, which was commissioned by the Fort Worth Alumnae Chapter. National Arts Associate James Adler and Friend of the Arts Dr. Jerome Bierschenk. IAMA Composer-Judge Richard A . Crosby, IAMA Project Director Sara Bong, IAMA Composer-Judge Bonnie Ruth Janofsky, and IAMA Competition winner Steve Cohen. Friday's events concluded with an Open Mic concert lead by Chi A PO Dr. Mary Frances Bushong and National Vice President, Collegiate Chapters Jessica Chichester. The event ended with a performance by Chicago Alumnae member Cherl Graff. Northern New Jersey Alumnae president, Dr. Ann Estill, performed " The Valley of Laughter " during Open Mic. SAI CONVENTION MEMORIES Tau A PO Jammie Phillips and Music Business/ Technology Scholarship Director Paula Savastano performed a duet. On Friday evening, Sara Bong performed the premier of Steve Cohen's winning IAMA composition Toccata Veronese for piano.
