Her work has primarily been in behavioral health, providing services to adults in an inpatient mental health hospital in Nashville, TN. In a given day, she provides three to four group sessions to men and women suffering from thought disorders such as schizophrenia, mood disorders including depression and bipolar disorder, those with addictions, and patients dealing with trauma and post-traumatic stress disorder. She also receives orders from neurologists to see patients being treated post-stroke in the neurological intensive care unit. She states "I love my work because I get to make a difference in the lives of others". In addition, she is the internship director at her hospital, having developed the clinical training program to supervise music therapy interns, the final educational requirement needed to be able to become a board certified therapist. Dr. Randazzo shared, "Leadership is a continuum upon which all individuals can improve and positively change or affect their corner of the world. e 3-D's of leadership -- Different, Dependable, and Dynamic -- can be developed within ourselves. We also can learn additional aspects of leading others that will help us become more effective leaders in our sphere of influence." In addition to his keynote presentation, Dr. Randazzo also led two smaller workshop sessions. e first was called "Successfully Managing Conflict" and explored basic conflict resolution skills, starting with the initial response and moving towards long- term strategies that help to minimize potential negative consequences of conflict. "Don't Waste My Time" focused on engaging all members of an organization, to ensure active participation and a shared workload.
