Fall 2019 24 PAN PIPES 2019 SAI Annual Awards Fraternity H ayden first began serving as a leader in SAI when she was elected as Vice President Ritual and then President of the SAI Colony at Southwestern Oklahoma State University (SWOSU). Then when the Nu Beta Chapter was installed in November 2017, Hayden continued her service to the fraternity as her chapter's President and Vice President Membership. She is described as a mentor to all students alike because of her talent and work ethic. In her music department, she held first chair flute in both the university orchestra and wind symphony, and she has received numerous honors from local, state, and national organizations for both her academic and performance achievements. Outside of SAI, Hayden has served as the Parliamentarian and Treasurer/Secretary of the local Kappa Kappa Psi Chapter, as well as drum major and a founding member, President, and Treasurer of the SWOSU Flute Association. In the letter of recommendation from her chapter, Hayden is likened to one of the Sigma Alpha Iota Purposes, "To uphold the highest standards of music." To her fellow chapter members, she is an inspiration and a major part of the reason they want to be the best musician and Sigma Alpha Iota member they can be. Hayden is currently attending graduate school at Florida State University.
