PAN PIPES Fall 2019 3 New National Vice President, Alumnae Chapters NATIONAL EXECUTIVE BOARD The National Executive Board is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Frances Bushong as the new National Vice President, Alumnae Chapters. e Fraternity thanks Jennie Ross for her work this past year in the position. Mary Frances is an initiate of Delta Phi Collegiate Chapter at Mansfield Uni- versity where she served as Editor and Music Chair. She received her Bachelor's degree in Music Education, her Master's of Arts in Music Education from Rowan University, and Ph. D. in Music Education from Tem- ple University. Mary Frances has been a member of the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter where she served as President, VP Ritual, and VP membership. She just completed nine years serving as Chi A Province Officer. Additional Fraternity service includes being a member of the 2018 Convention Nominating Committee, Editor for the Collegiate Comments in Tempo!, and as a member of the Summer Scholarship Selection Committee. She is the recipient of the Sword of Honor, the Rose of Honor, the Rose of Dedication, and the Wreath of Achievement. Currently, Mary Frances is an Elementary Band Director where she teaches beginning band in five elementary schools in the Washington Township School District, Sewell, NJ. She plays euphonium and trombone in two community bands and sings in her church choir. e past spring, she got into cycling and tries to ride her bike whenever she can. At home, Mary Frances has a dog (Zoey) and a cat (Molly.) Applications for Sigma Alpha Iota's new Assistant Executive Director position were due October 1st. Candidates for the position of Assistant Executive Director will be reviewed, and final interviews will be conducted in February 2020. The Assistant Executive Director's date of hire is contingent upon contract negotiation, notice period of current employment, and appropriate time for transition to relocate. It is estimated that the selected candidate will start in July 2020. STAY TUNED!
