The
Epsilon Theta Chapter at Appalachian State University is the 2019-2020
recipient of the Katnerine Becker National Collegiate Chapter Achievement
Award. The chapter has a strong, positive inter-fraternal presence within
their School of Music and is well known for their acts of service. These
include monthly faculty breakfasts, hosting student receptions, leading an annual Girl Scout
music badge service project, and assisting with band and choral festivals. Epsilon Theta excelled
this year despite the turmoil of the COVID-19 pandemic. They still found time to thrive, initiating a
Friend of the Arts, presenting excellent ritual ceremonies, reviving sister musicales, and approving
a $2,500 contribution for the Jessica Ruth Early Artist Residency, as well as a $250 Cannon Music
Camp Scholarship. Last, but certainly not least, Epsilon Theta made a generous $2,000 donation
to Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies, Inc. this year.
