Since then, she has created over 200 wreaths out of old military uniforms for her customers. She hand-makes the wreaths in different sizes, using patriotic or festive holiday designs to highlight each piece. "I wanted to find a way to recycle my old uniforms, since the Air Force was switching its fatigues. I had a friend recommend making a wreath, and with the help of my cray mother, we created the prototype for the wreaths. I never intended on selling them, but aer posting it in a few groups on Facebook, I had people reaching out asking if I could make one for them. My company works off of uniform donations, and I am able to create wreaths out of people's personal uniforms, but everyone can also purchase them. In December, my story of making these wreaths caught the local news, which trickled into the national stage. I've now been featured on people.com, Fox News, ABC with David Muir, CBS, as well as local news stations throughout the nation." Aer graduating from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, with a bachelors degree in Music education and bassoon performance, Nicole headed off to Marine Corps basic training to become a member in a regional band.
