Annual Fraternity Awards FALL 2021 20 S A I 2021 N AT I O N A L A LUM N A E L E A D E RS H I P AWA R D N AT I O N A L A LUM N A E L E A D E RS H I P AWA R D Helen O'Lone Long Beach Alumnae, Delta A, Region I H elen was initiated in 1949 by the Iota Beta chapter at Murray State University in Kentucky, and is currently a member of the Long Beach Alumnae Chapter. Helen has been an active member of Sigma Alpha Iota for 73 years, and during her years of service and dedication to SAI, she has been a member of five different alumnae chapters: Louisville, San Diego, Seattle, Los Angeles, and Long Beach. Throughout the years, her family moved quite a bit and Helen sought out a new alumnae chapter each time. She has held many offices through the years, including President, Vice President Ritual, Vice President Program, Editor, and Corresponding Secretary, and has served on numerous committees. Helen also served as Province President. When she was a member of the Louisville Alumnae chapter, Helen served as the National Chairman of the SAI International Chapter. Over the years, Helen has made an effort to attend many National Conventions. She was awarded the Sword of Honor, Ruby Sword or Honor, Rose of Honor, Rose of Dedication, and Wreath of Achievement. Outside of SAI, Helen is a member of the Los Cancioneros Chorale, a community chorale based in the South Bay area of California, and she is on the music committee of her church.
