Why am I so excited? In less than a year, we will all be together at our 50 th National Convention, to be held at the Sheraton-Greensboro/Koury Convention Center July 28–August 1, 2022, in Greensboro, NC. The National Executive Board and the Philanthropies Board were able to meet at our convention site for our summer board meeting this past July, and we were thrilled with the hotel and convention accommodations! During our National Convention, we have inspiring Keynote speakers, amazing performers from across the country, sing-alongs, and informative workshops, just to whet your appetite about attending. You will also be able to stock up on fraternity merchandise as the Whistle Shop will have lots of goodies, along with our fraternity jewelers, Herff Jones, who will be selling must-have items. One of my favorite parts of Convention is singing the chorale with 800+ other sisters; I get chills just thinking about it! I encourage you to start thinking about possible workshops and performances that you would be interested in presenting at convention. Applications will be coming out in a few months, so keep an eye out for that information. One of the great honors of serving on the National Executive Board is the opportunity to select the National Award Winners at the end of each Fraternity year. Choosing this year's winners was just as difficult, if not more so than in previous "normal" years. Despite the challenges that came with the pandemic, our members and chapters successfully adapted their programs, fundraising efforts, and service projects with the end result being another wonderful year in the history of SAI. I know that you will find the stories of our 2020-2021 award winners incredibly inspiring. I am thrilled to read about the marvelous plans already underway as our chapters start our new year. I am impressed with the flexibility and creativeness you all have exhibited since the beginning of COVID in March 2020. It seems like that started a lifetime ago when it has only been a little over a year and a half. Through the dedication of our members, SAI thrived during the pandemic, and I could not be prouder! We all took the challenges of the pandemic in stride and we were still able to fulfill our National Objectives and our Mission. I wish you the best for this fraternity year and hope to see you in July 2022 at our National Convention in Greensboro, NC. Take care and stay safe!
