Annual Fraternity Awards FALL 2021 12 S A I 2021 N AT I O N A L C O L L EG I AT E L E A D E RS H I P AWA R D N AT I O N A L C O L L EG I AT E L E A D E RS H I P AWA R D Grace Ridley Eta Xi, Central Michigan University, Alpha C, Region V G race has been described by her chapter as a dependable, hard-working, and dedicated individual. ese attributes not only apply to her membership in Sigma Alpha Iota but extend to her academic and community service efforts. As a chapter leader she was professional and personable, while being prepared and adaptable, always treating sisters with kindness and dignity. Grace has not only been a leader in the Eta Xi chapter, but also in the Central Michigan University and Mt. Pleasant communities. As a Sexual Aggression Peer Advocate (SAPA), Grace has helped survivors of sexual assault feel heard and safe, while also helping them find resources to heal. Grace has also worked in the Music Resource Center in the School of Music assisting in archiving School of Music performances, helping students locate and borrow recordings, and overseeing the student lounge and computer lab. Grace has served Eta Xi as music committee chair and, most recently, as President. While holding these positions, she wrote a choral piece for the chapter that is awaiting premiere. is piece focuses on the love we all share for SAI and includes quotes from sisters in the Eta Xi chapter. Her dedication to Eta Xi and the ideals of Sigma Alpha Iota was crucial in facilitating virtual chapter business during the Covid-19 pandemic. Grace received her Bachelor of Music in eory Composition with a minor in German, as well as a Non-Teaching and Undergraduate Certificate in Creative Writing, from Central Michigan University this spring.
