Their focus was fulfilling both our National Objectives as well as their own chapter goals. More specifically: "To foster a lifetime commitment to Sigma Alpha Iota" the chapter invited alumnae members in their region to talk to their members about alumnae life; "To prioritize music in all aspects of chapter programming" all of the chapter's fundraising, membership, programming, and service events were designed to focus on music in some way; "To develop strong women leaders" chapter officers, committee chairs, and members promoted constant communication and support to build each other up and provide a positive space to develop leadership skills. Other events that the chapter participated in include service events, such as Card Making, Songtales, Carols for a Cause, a Camp Sunshine Halloween Concert, and five public music concerts with varying themes, including Mamma Mia Virtual Album, Love and Roses Recital, Women's History Virtual Concert, Emo Concert, and a joint holiday concert with Phi Mu Alpha. The culmination of the chapter's efforts this year was an annual Benefit for Life Concert to raise money for RAINN (Rape, Abuse & Incest National Network). The chapter was proud to donate $1,873 to the cause. They raised money at the concert itself through donations and by selling shirts, with chapter fundraisers, and by donations sent directly to the organization. This was in addition to a $595 donation the chapter made to SAI Philanthropies, Inc. In their own way, Eta Mu embraced the challenges brought on by the pandemic and found a way to make a positive impact on their chapter, their campus, and their community.
