Sheetz Bloomington/Normal Alumnae Chapter, Upsilon A, Region V D uring the summer of 2021, I had the great privilege to attend the Orff Schulwerk Level 1 training at the University of Kentucky. Orff Schulwerk is a process of teaching music which utilizes imitation, exploration, improvisation, and composition. The entire certification takes place over three summers, and I was able to begin that process thanks to the Professional Development/Education Grant from SAI Philanthropies, Inc. I spent two weeks at the University of Kentucky collaborating with music educators (some of whom were fellow sisters) from all over the country, learning from incredible instructors, all the while becoming a better educator myself. Words can't express how meaningful this experience was for me and I am so thankful to SAI for making it happen!" — Morgan Curtis
