Pan's Cottage Gets
an Ef f iciency and
Comfort Overhaul

er four months of carpentry and plumbing, Tom Tolman Builders
(Nelson, NH) completed extensive renovations of Pan's Cottage,
MacDowell's beloved residence hall, shortly before MacDowell
had to close to help fight the COVID-19 pandemic. Built in 1919
thanks to a gi from Sigma Alpha Iota (SAI), an international fraternity in the
field of music, the three-story Pan's Cottage was thoroughly restored just aer
its hundredth birthday. With Mrs. MacDowell's participation, SAI's convention
