sai-national.org • Fall 2022 63 THE PUERTO RICO CENTER FOR COLLABORATIVE PIANO The Puerto Rico Center for Collaborative Piano is a 2-week summer music intensive set in the beautiful tropical island of Puerto Rico. The festival focuses on promoting music by historically excluded composers and is offered in both Spanish and English. Participants stay in the historic town of San Germán and have the opportunity to participate in masterclasses, coachings, and concerts. Participants also have the opportunity to win cash prizes through the International Collaborative Piano Competition- -a competition open to undergraduate and graduate/professional pianists 18 years and older. There is no upper age limit for either category--pianists of all ages 18+ are invited to attend.
