She worked diligently to ensure that the chapter and its Executive Board achieved the goals they set at the beginning of each semester. Cara showcased all of her leadership skills during the planning of Province Day, which was hosted by Sigma Phi this year. Her empathy and compassion significantly impacted establishing the strong bond of sisterhood within the chapter. Her ability to handle the daily stressors of college academics and lead their chapter forward as their treasurer, and then president, is an example of her character and dedication. Cara was also a strong scholar and exemplified the highest standards of citizenship through her work as a pre-medical student and her time served with the LSU Brain Exercise Initiative. Combining her love for medicine and music, Cara commissioned a recital's worth of music to accompany her biology lecture on the functions of human systems of the body. Cara would first explain these systems in a lecture format and then perform the pieces with the help of school of music faculty and fellow students, some of which were Sigma Phi members.
