The
Alpha Beta Chapter found a way to make a large impact in their community
with their small, yet mighty chapter. ey decided to raise money as part of
an instrument drive to benefit a local school. To raise the money, the chapter
designed and advertised for a music trivia night asking for a small entry fee from participants.
From the money raised by this event they were able to purchase two recorders, a melodica,
finger cymbals, and a hand drum. ese were combined with a refurbished guitar and violin to
complete their donation to a school in need in the Tucson, AZ community.

The
Mu Lambda Chapter created a school supply drive designated for
music educators in their surrounding area. ey advertised for
supply donations that would benefit a music classroom and collected
them over the course of a week by placing multiple collection bins around campus.
Following the collection of the supplies, the chapter members spent time organizing
and separating the supplies into "go" bags that were then delivered to teachers who
expressed interest in receiving them.
