Music has been apparent in all aspects of her life. Her leadership qualities include her commitment to following through no matter how large or small the task or the challenge, her warm and welcoming nature that extends to members new and old, and her tireless commitment to sharing her musical talent. She is admired by her chapter sisters for her thoughtfulness, civic mindedness, sense of humor, and dependability. She has received the Sword of Honor, Rose of Honor, Rose of Dedication, Rose of Constancy, and Wreath of Achievement. Donna has held just about every office in the chapter, including serving as President of her chapter three times. She has also served as VP Program, Corresponding Secretary, Recording Secretary, and Editor. Other positions she has held include College Outreach, Social Chair, and Scholarships. Additionally, she has been a program chair for SAI Philanthropies, Inc. for many years. She has faithfully severed as a Philanthropies Project Director for the Music Education Scholarship for Graduate Students that is sponsored by her alumnae chapter. She also led a local summer music camp scholarship program for junior high and middle school students. Donna has served her chapter in a variety of ways, from providing support to the chapter through hostessing, performing, and fundraising, to cheerfully storing materials and music for her chapter's needs. She has been a delegate to the National Convention several times and has volunteered on the Convention Committee. She taught middle school for many years, and has a passion for bringing young student musicians to the chapter. She is also a dedicated vocal performer who is eager to share her gis, and has set up numerous musicales for the chapter to perform at residential homes. She is also a member of the Frederick Law Olmsted Society of Riverside, IL.
