Christin Vare, Secretary Christin Vare was initiated in 1991 into Epsilon Chapter at Ithaca College, NY, where she served as VPM and chapter President while finishing a double major in Clarinet Performance and Music Education. Since then, she received her Master's in Business Management as she shied into administration and now works at e University of Maryland, where she is also the Gamma Epsilon Financial Chapter Advisor. Previously, Christin served three terms as the Director of Summer Music Scholarships and one term as Philanthropies Coordinator for Triennial Projects & Awards. She has received the sword of honor and the Rose of Honor. Currently, Christin is a member of the Washington, DC Alumnae chapter. She also maintains a private woodwind studio with her husband, and enjoys playing in local pit orchestras for community theatre. is will be her first term as SAI Philanthropies, Inc. Board Secretary. Leslie Hoggatt, Board Member Leslie Hoggatt was initiated into the Zeta Chapter at Butler University in Indianapolis, Indiana in 2001 where she served as the Editor, Historian, and chair of the April Fools' Day Musicale. While at Butler, she earned her BS in Arts Administration and her BM in Flute Performance. She is currently affiliated with the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter where she has served as President. She has also been affiliated with the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter where she served as President and VP Programs. She most recently served SAI Philanthropies, Inc as the Director of Undergraduate Scholarships. She is the recipient of the Sword of Honor, Ruby Sword of Honor, and the Rose of Honor. Professionally, Leslie is the Director of Individual Giving and Donor Services for the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra and Cincinnati Pops and manages the individual donor program for this internationally known orchestra. Previously, she has worked for the Indianapolis and Alabama Symphony Orchestras, the Center for the Performing Arts and Great American Songbook Foundation in Carmel, IN, the Brevard Music Center in Brevard, NC, and for WBHM 90.3FM, Central Alabama's NPR Public Radio station in individual and corporate giving, grant writing, and special events. She obtained her Certified Fund Raising Executive (CFRE) in 2016. She is also active in her church and lives at home with her two Siamese cats, Victoria and Albert. Jessica Chichester, Ph.D., National President Jessica was initiated into SAI by the Sigma Omega chapter at Susquehanna University in Selinsgrove, PA where she majored in Biochemistry and played the Euphonium in the Symphonic Band. Jessica's service to SAI began as president of her collegiate chapter, for which she was awarded the Sword of Honor and Ruby Sword of Honor. Aer graduation, Jessica affiliated with the Selinsgrove Alumnae Chapter while pursuing her doctorate in Microbiology and Molecular Virology at omas Jefferson University. While in graduate school, she was elected Chi A Province Officer, a position she served in for six years. Jessica was then appointed Region VIII officer by the National President and was grateful to serve in this capacity for an additional six years. In 2014, Jessica was appointed the National Vice-President, Collegiate Chapters, a position that she held for 8 years. Most recently, Jessica was elected National President at the 2022 National Convention, a position that she is honored and humbled to hold. Jessica has been awarded the Rose of Honor, Wreath of Achievement, and the Ring of Excellence. She credits active leadership in SAI with allowing her to keep her passion for music alive in a career full of scientific experiments. Jessica currently lives in Glen Mills, PA and works for the Gene erapy Program at the University of Pennsylvania as Senior Director of the Immunology Core.
