Jenna Bainbridge, an initiate of Sigma Upsilon Chapter at the University of Denver, is making her Broadway debut in the
production of Suffs, the Tony Award®-winning musical with music, lyrics, and book by Shaina Taub. Suffs is based on the
history of the American women's suffrage movement. Set in 1913, it chronicles the events leading up to the ratification of
the 19th Amendment, which granted some women the right to vote. It premiered Off-Broadway at the Public Theater in
April 2022 and opened on Broadway at the Music Box Theatre on April 18, 2024. Suffs won the 2024 Tony Awards® for Best Book of a Musical and
Best Original Score. The show has also received three Outer Critics Circle Awards, including Outstanding New Broadway Musical, as well as two
Drama Desk Awards, including Best Score.
Jenna, a Disability Rights Advocate and ambulatory wheelchair user, is Co-Founder of Consultability, a company that provides consultations,
advice, and expertise on accessibility in theatre, focusing on creating a safe and inclusive environment for all disabled theater artists.
She received her early training with a number of companies, including Phamaly, BDT Stage, The Aurora Fox, and the Arvada Center. Jenna
has performed in Bring Down the House, Hairspray (OSF), Into The Woods, Beauty and the Beast (Phamaly), and Macbeth (Merrimack Rep), with
additional roles as Cinderella at the Boulder Dinner Theater and in Midsummer Night's Dream at the Colorado Shakespeare Festival.
Jenna was the recipient of the 2013 SAI Musical Theatre Scholarship and also received a Denver Alumnae Chapter scholarship for voice.
