ALUMNAE CHAPTER ACHIEVEMENT AWARD
The San Antonio Alumnae chapter had a very good year. They started it off by putting their name out into
the community, presenting recitals in a local senior center. They also established a relationship with Hearts
Need Arts, singing Christmas carols to patients at the Stone Oak Methodist Hospital. With the assistance
of the SAI Music Education Conference Grant, they hosted the SAI booth at the Texas Music Educators
Conference and held a fundraiser there. Collaboration with a local coffee company for their fundraiser was
successful, where they put out "SAI Bold Note," their own personalized coffee. The chapter also promoted
joining an alumnae chapter after graduation, and had a photo booth for sisters from all over the state to take
photos and post them on social media.
The chapter made music a priority and held a musicale at every meeting. Last October, the chapter
celebrated their twentieth anniversary with a potluck dinner, and this past June, they hosted an SAI
Homecoming for all collegiate and alumnae sisters to come and celebrate their anniversary.
