A Wld of Music

hough undoubtedly a longhair, a true lover
of classical music, I still vividly remember
seeing the Beatles televised on The Ed Sullivan
Show in February 1964 as well as first hearing
"A Hard Day's Night" on my car radio. The group
made five films, but I've only seen one—or maybe
two. Nevertheless, docking on a cruise in Liverpool,
England—their birthplace—provided an opportunity to
learn more about this preeminent rock band, who was
truly the best-selling music act ever. And, of course, they
hold records (pun intended) for selling huge numbers of
records and topping pop charts worldwide.
