They work in conjunction with Delta Chi Chapter at the University of South Florida. This grant helped to support the Seven Springs Elementary School in New Port Richey, Florida. Seven Springs is a Title 1 school with 480 students, all of whom see the music teacher, Cecilia Callaway. As the school district does not have funding for purchasing instruments, this grant will allow the school to purchase fourteen Casio SA-51 keyboards to use in their music classroom. This is in addition to the five keyboards Ms. Callaway has purchased with her own funds. Volusia County Alumnae Lambda C, Region VI Volusia County Alumnae Chapter was awarded $500 that will allow them to curate, produce, and present a free concert for their local community. "Music For the People" is inspired by the poem "Songs for the People" by Frances Ellen Watkins Harper Perrin, who was a prolific African-American writer. The chapter is hoping to add to the musical and cultural landscape of their local community, so they are ensuring the concert has a variety of genres, styles, and instrumentation. CHAPTER OUTREACH GRANTS IMPACT PROJECT GRANTS Epsilon Pi Truman State University, Pi A, Region III The North Star Music Festival is a project designed to promote new music to Truman State University and the surrounding community. The chapter hosts a guest composer who writes a commissioned piece for a university ensemble and invites a guest performer or group. This year, the festival will support the university's premier choir, Cantoria. Often, Truman performers and guest artists will perform pieces by the guest composer in addition to other new music pieces. Epsilon Pi members also sing during the festival's closing concert and are responsible for stagehanding at the festival. Iota Lambda University of Missouri, Pi, Region III Iota Lambda is planning the inaugural SAI Music Festival to bring the community together through learning, listening, and having fun with music and performing arts. This free event will also be a charity event to raise money for SAI Philanthropies, Inc. and local community organizations. The chapter invited several keynote speakers and guest artists to perform at the festival, which will also have food, crafts, and non-profit vendors, with no booth costs. They will also run a concert attire drive to help local schools and students, partnered with Tiger Pantry. Zeta Tau University of Central Florida, Lambda C, Region VI UCF Celebrates the Arts is a multi- disciplinary annual festival presented at Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts in Orlando. The festival's centerpiece is a production of a major musical, this year's being Fiddler on the Roof. The festival also has a strong focus on youth arts, offering free clinics in chorus, percussion, orchestra, and band for K–12 students. Zeta Tau presented "Inclusive Knights" at the festival, a concert that ensures a safe and welcoming environment for people who may not typically be able to attend live concerts. Support was offered for families and members of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing communities, people on the autism spectrum and with intellectual disabilities, and the Central Florida community at large.
