sai-national.org • Winter 2026 23 Dr. Molly Breckling Molly Breckling, Ph.D., was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Lambda Iota Chapter at Rollins College in November. Dr. Breckling is a musicologist and educator whose work reflects a deep appreciation for music across all times and styles. She serves as Visiting Assistant Professor of Musicology at Rollins College, teaching courses in global music and Western music history, and has given seminars on topics ranging from popular song to fairy tales. An expert on Gustav Mahler, she is the author of several publications, including Hidden Treasures: Cultural, Social, and Political Commentary in Mahler's Songs from Des Knaben Wunderhorn, and has presented her research at national and international conferences. Dr. Breckling previously taught at the University of West Georgia, University of North Carolina, Wake Tech Community College, and Austin Peay State University. She is a member of the American Musicological Society, Lyrica Society for Word-Music Relations, German Studies Association, and the Gustav Mahler Society of New York. Dr. Breckling earned a Ph.D. and Master of Arts in Musicology from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, a Master of Arts in Music History from the University of Wisconsin – Madison, a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Austin Peay State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Music- Liberal Arts with a Psychology Minor from University of Wisconsin – Oshkosh. Daniel Flick Daniel Flick was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Lambda Iota Chapter at Rollins College in November. Flick is a highly-respected performer, educator, and musician whose career has shaped the musical life of Rollins College and the community of Central Florida. A multi- instrumentalist who is fluent in viola, violin, mandolin, guitar, and fiddle, he has performed as a soloist with the Orlando Philharmonic, Bach Festival Society of Winter Park, Boulder Philharmonic, and at the opening of Steinmetz Hall. At Rollins, he teaches songwriting, acoustic ensembles, and various other classes, bringing decades of expertise and genuine enthusiasm. Flick also composes, records, and creates original concert programs, while also serving on several arts-focused nonprofit boards. In addition to being featured in numerous productions by theater companies, Flick has written and produced a variety of multimedia concerts for the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra and several youth theater productions. Flick earned his Master of Music in Performance and Pedagogy from the University of Colorado. Jonathan Goble Jonathan Goble was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Sigma Alpha Chapter at Illinois Wesleyan University in October. Goble has over thirty- five years as a Healthcare CEO with health systems across Iowa, Indiana, and Illinois. He served as President/CEO of a suburban facility which was part of University of Chicago Health. Goble also served as President/CEO of the Indiana University Health North Central Region, which includes three hospitals, $1.2 billion in revenue and 2,000 employees. He is a Life Fellow in the American College of Healthcare Executives. He has received many awards for his leadership and has delivered numerous Keynote Presentations nationally and internationally on Leadership and Corporate Culture in the Workplace. He was a guest lecturer at Anderson University, Indiana University Kelley School of Business, and Butler University. He is the husband of Sigma Alpha initiate and Bloomington/Normal Alumnae Chapter member Theresa Goble. Goble earned a Master's in Hospital Administration from Tulane University, a Master's in Business Administration from the University of Iowa, and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Illinois Wesleyan University. Dr. Alyssa Grey Dr. Alyssa Grey was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Zeta Xi Chapter at Berry College in November. Dr. Grey is an active musician, educator, and conductor. She has presented sessions and research with the National Association for Music Education, Society for Music Teacher Education, College Music Society, NJMEA, FMEA, OKMEA, ArkMEA, TMEA, the Texas Bandmasters Association, and the Midwest Clinic. Dr. Grey is an active conductor and scholar, and has been published in scholarly journals including Update: Applications of Research in Music Education, Music Educators Journal, Teaching Music, The Instrumentalist, and is a contributor to the Teaching Music Through Performance in Band series. Dr. Grey serves on the Editorial Committee for the Music Educators Journal. Dr. Grey earned a Ph.D. from the University of North Texas, a Masters in Music Education from the Eastman School of Music, and undergraduate degrees in Music Education and Music Theory and Composition from the University of Miami. Dr. Leanne Hampton Dr. Leanne Hampton was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Evansville Alumnae Chapter in October.
