EARLY BIRD REGISTRATION DEADLINE: May 1, 2026 WEBSITE: www.festivalsingers.org/registernow IAWM SEARCH FOR NEW MUSIC COMPETITION Hosted by the International Alliance for Women in Music, this international competition includes several prize categories ranging from chamber and orchestral works to electroacoustic media, improvisation, and sound installation. Membership in IAWM is required to enter, but contestants may join at the time of entry. The Search for New Music Competition committee administers the competition, receives entries, selects judges, and publicizes the contest guidelines and the list of winners. Featuring 1,000 voices, a live orchestra, children's choir, and special guests, this event will showcase Mississippi's talent and pride. The Biennial Young Artist and Ellis Duo-Pianists competitions award a total of $92,000 in awards and two years of performance bookings. Additional competitions are sponsored by the Federation in a wide range of categories, including voice, instrumental music, composition, dance, conducting, handicapped and visually impaired, and music therapy. NFMC also sponsors more than 38 annual and biennial awards for students desiring to attend the 20 sponsored Summer Music Centers. There will be lots to do, see, and hear, including workshops, exhibits, and concerts throughout the St. Louis area in many different churches, on many different organs, performed by many different musicians.
