Other memories include singing with my daughter Pam along with Liz Perryman and her mom, Janet, in a Mother-Daughter Duo recital at Inez Croft's home in Riverside. JANE LEE WILSON Delta Rho, 1972 (54 years) North Central College Primary instrument: Piano (also harp and organ) Who inspired you to join SAI? My college roommate, Sue Samuels. Special collegiate memories: I always enjoyed visiting the homes of the SAI alumnae members in the area for special events. Special alumnae memories: Each year, our Elsie Sterrenberg String Competition winners would perform for us at a meeting. That has always been a very special time. JANE LIDDELL WOOD Psi, 1962 (64 years) Knox College Major: Music Education and Flute Primary instrument: Flute Who inspired you to join SAI? A young woman I had met in the college chapter. Special collegiate memories: I really enjoyed getting together with Knox SAI alums in our area for gatherings and meals. The local alumnae chapter didn't start until 1970, but many alum sisters were active with us in the college chapter, and we liked that very much. Special alumnae memories: We had a fundraising event in 1977–78 called "Faire in the Field " at a park in Oak Park. I remember my husband and I made pumpkin soup for this terrific community event. Thank you for celebrating these esteemed sisters of SAI. We have barely touched on the many offices they have held, the committees they have chaired, and the events they have brought to life at both the local and national levels—all while continuing to nurture their own music careers, families, and communities. The Oak Park Alumnae Chapter is deeply grateful to count these dynamic women among its members. May your hearts be warmed by their quiet humility, deep devotion, and enduring gratitude for an organization they hold so dear.
