JANE RUBY NATIONAL COLLEGIATE SERVICE PROJECT AWARDS CATEGORY III (21+ MEMBERS) Zeta Tau University of Central Florida, Lambda C, Region VI Zeta Tau brought music education into the community through six interactive "teach-in" presentations at local elementary schools, reaching more than 300 students. Members introduced students to instrument families, pitch, and rhythm through hands-on activities including clapping exercises, "Guess That Tune," conducting, building a band to explore sound blending, and an instrument petting zoo. The project encouraged young students to explore music while giving chapter members an opportunity to strengthen their skills in music advocacy and outreach. CATEGORY I (1-10 MEMBERS) Epsilon Beta Geysburg College, Iota C, Region VIII Epsilon Beta hosted its annual Benefit Recital featuring student performances of music by women composers. All nine chapter members participated, which includes performances of "S.A.I. Garden" and "So Near, So Dear Is S.A.I." Dr. Jocelyn Swigger, National Arts Associate, provided piano accompaniment for the chapter. Through donations and the sale of recital roses, the event raised funds in support of SAI Philanthropies, Inc.
