2 2 PAN PIPES FALL 2026 2026 SAI 30 Philanthropies Awards Philanthropies Awards IMPACT PROJECT GRANTS Epsilon Pi Truman State University, Pi A, Region III The North Star Music Festival promotes new music to the Truman State University campus and surrounding community. This year, they hosted a guest composer who wrote a commissioned piece for the percussion ensemble, with concerts, recitals, and seminars during the festival. Chapter members help plan the event, in addition to performing and stagehanding. The event is also livestreamed, extending its reach beyond campus. Mu Rho Southeastern Louisiana University, Omega C, Region IV Southeastern Louisiana University Single Reed Day gives clarinet and saxophone students opportunities to learn about musical concepts and their instruments. High school students attend masterclasses and lectures, and participate in a chamber ensemble comprised of their instrument family. There is also a performance by the hosting faculty and the guest artists. Zeta Tau University of Central Florida, Lambda C, Region VI The annual UCF Celebrates the Arts festival is an immersive and dynamic cultural extravaganza that invites the broader community to enjoy performances, exhibitions, presentations, and interactive experiences. One of the most popular events during this two-week festival is Exceptional Knights, a three-dimensional concert with live music, props, and actors, which is geared toward students with exceptionalities. MUSIC EDUCATION OUTREACH GRANTS Linda Aguilar Austin, Kappa A, Region II Linda Aguilar is helping her students take their marching performances to the next level by updating the ensemble's electronic performance system. They will purchase a new synthesizer cart and portable power station, giving students reliable equip- ment so they can focus on making music and giving their best performance. Carolanne Gosweiler Philadelphia, Chi A, Region VIII For Carolanne Gosweiler, expanding the Lower Gwynedd Elementary Orchestra means making sure interested students have the instruments they need to participate. Two half-size cellos will be purchased and existing instruments will be repaired, opening the door for more young string musicians regardless of their family's ability to afford an instrument. Anne Kleve Boulder, Xi C, Region I Through JuBELLant Handbells, Anne Kleve is bringing the joy of handbell ringing to a new generation with a new free after school program at Quist Middle School. The group will restore a three-plus-octave set of Schulmerich handbells, giving young musicians the opportunity to make music together, build confidence and teamwork, and discover a unique musical tradition.
