The twelve musical vignettes that describe the creation myth through the texts are sung in the original Egyptian language. The concerts were prepared and conducted by Eric Nelson, Director of the Emory University Chorus, and Richard Prior, Director of the Emory University, Orchestra. Composer seeks interested conductors! WEBSITE: johnanthonylennon.com STEPHEN LIAS • • • NEWS: Continuing with his ongoing project to compose pieces about the national parks of the United States, composer Stephen Lias completed a residency at Denali National Park in June 2011 and will be serving as Artist-in-Residence for Gates of the Arctic National Park in the summer of 2012. Additional residencies during 2012 will take place at Wrangell-St. Elias and Glacier Bay National Parks, with orchestral and band compositions about all three Alaska locations coming in the 2012-2013 year. Residencies for 2011 included Composer-inResidence for the 2011 Carolina Chamber Music Festival in September in New Bern, NC, and a residency at Harvard in December surrounding the World Premiere of his new choral work commissioned by the Harvard Glee Club and Radcliffe Choral Society, WINTER (from the forgottens). Radio broadcasts of Locklair works continue to flourish, both through the many commercial CD's featuring Locklair compositions and live performances, including syndicated radio programs Pipe Dreams and With Heart and Voice.
