DAVID ASHLEY WHITE • • • NEWS: In May 2011, White's composition, "I cannot live with you," from his larger work, The Door Ajar for mixed chorus a cappella, won a prize at the Florilége Vocal de Tours, Concours International de Chant Choral, Tours, France, for the best composition of a new work premiered at the competition. In Aug. 2011, White began his thirteenth year as Director of the Moores School of Music, University of Houston.
