Taylor served as the chapter's President this past year, previously served as Vice President, Membership in 2009-2010, and the Homecoming Committee Chairman in 2008. Under her leadership, the chapter flourished, initiating 23 new members, five Distinguished Members, and one Patroness. Taylor ensured that the chapter participated in numerous service and philanthropic activities throughout the year, such as raising $3000 for Relay for Life and volunteering for the Music Olympics sponsored by the Oklahoma City Philharmonic. She was also very active on campus and in the community; Taylor helped to develop and coordinate a music program supported by campus music students at Positive Tomorrows, an alternative school for children of homeless families or families in crisis, where she then taught in a 1st-2nd grade classroom. Within the OCU choral program, Taylor has been very active, serving as a choir manager, section leader, and the first ever student Choral Events Manager, where she was responsible for scheduling and distribution of music for all four University choirs. "Taylor is truly passionate in her dedication to Sigma Alpha Iota and to scholastic and philanthropic excellence," Alpha Zeta wrote. "Every member of the Alpha Zeta Chapter is proud to call her a sister and leader, and she has filled both roles to the highest level."
