YEAGLEY NEWS: Dr. Yeagley has written a grand opera, Jacek, in three acts. It is based on the story of Jack P. Eisner, a Holocaust survivor with whom Dr. Yeagley was acquainted personally. In 2007, he was commissioned by the Oklahoma Historical Society to compose symphonic music for the silent film, Daughter of Dawn, a 1920 feature involving all Indian actors in an Indian story. Dr. Yeagley is the first American Indian composer to be commissioned to write a full length movie score. The work is 80 minutes of non-stop, non-repetitive symphonic music.
