Alaina served as President this past year, and she previously served as a co-chair of the fundraising committee and Sergeantit at-Arms. A music education major, Alaina was very active on campus, serving n r in numerous offices within the local CMENC chapter, teaching children from birth through age 8 frate with the MusicTime program, and volunteering her time at the Kendall United Methodist Church. She performed on numerous chapter musicales, with campus ensembles, and in the community on clarinet, flute, and voice. She was a driving force behind increased chapter fundraising, successful community service projects, and collaboration with other campus organizations. While at UM, Alaina was on the President's Honor Roll and Dean's List, received many academic scholarships and the Presser Scholar Award. She pent the summer of 2009 participating in the Summer Salzburg Voice Program. Her chapter wrote, "She sees SAI as a great opportunity to not only meet other women who share her love of music, but to help reach out to the community and world to help provide every child with an opportunity to experience the power of music." Epsilon Ithaca College Psi A Psi B Sigma B Alpha A Phi B Chi A Eta A NATIONAL OUTSTANDING ADVISOR R R ITA GUsTA fSON Delta Tau, Augustana College, Gamma B Province, Region V ita Gustafson, an advisor of the Delta Tau Chapter at Augustana College in Gamma B Province, is this year's recipient of the National Outstanding Advisor Award. An SAI Patroness member, Rita works as the college's Performance Hall Events Manager, scheduling events and supervising student workers all year long. She is also an active volunteer at her church and her children's elementary school. She has had a large influence on the Delta Tau chapter this past year, attending executive board and chapter meetings to help the group with various issues, including their new use of a nominating committee, elections, chapter bylaw revisions, budgetary problems, and logistical problems with chapter events, such as the Senior Farewell caterers. In addition, she sends every SAI a "goody bag" in the campus mail for each holiday, with treats, uplifting quotes, and a reminder that she is there for them when they need her.
