She is a graduate of Missouri's Truman State University, holding a Bachelor of Arts in eatre. She is active in the Curtain Call eatre and has established and developed the Children's eatre Camp, Broadway in the Park Series and the Performing Arts Camp for the Youth, all for Kirksville, MO, and the surrounding areas. dr. Jonathan d. green Dr. Jonathan D. Green, initiated by the Sigma Alpha Chapter in November, is the provost And dean of faculty at Illinois Wesleyan University. He serves as a professor in the Illinois Wesleyan School of Music and directs the university choir. As conductor and composer, he has received awards from ASCAP, the North Carolina Arts Council, and the Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. He is the author of six music reference books and more than 140 compositions, including choral works, piano concertos, and seven symphonies. His A Devil's Abecedarium: 26 of Ambrose Bierce's Cynics' Definitions was premiered at New York City's Carnegie Hall as part of the Distinguished Concerts International New York Artist Series. He is a member of ASCAP, the Conductors Guild, and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and serves on the boards of the Illinois Symphony Orchestra and the Illinois Shakespeare Festival. He received his Bachelor's Degree from the State University of New York, Fredonia School of Music, his Master's from the University of Massachusetts, and his doctorate from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. paul Jarvis Paul Jarvis was initiated by the Boulder Alumnae Chapter in November. He is the owner of the Boulder Piano Gallery, a hub of musical activity in Boulder and the premier place to purchase new or used pianos. His beautiful 100- seat hall is available for recitals, master-classes, workshops, and other events for the Boulder and surrounding communities. Every spring he graciously donates his facility to the Boulder Alumnae for a public musicale. He continues to perform and educates people in the process, making many community partners including but not limited to local schools for the arts, music camps, private studios, symphonies, and public school music teachers. mérida negrete Mérida Negrete was initiated by the Iota Tau Chapter in January. She has played an active role in performing music and educating students across North Carolina. She teaches music theory and clarinet at the University of North Carolina as well as advises undergraduate music majors. In addition to her responsibilities as a music educator and departmental advisor, Negrete plays clarinet professionally within the Raleigh/ Durham community, oen assuming leadership and board positions within these ensembles. She serves as a substitute player for the North Carolina Symphony, the largest orchestra in the state, to perform for kindergarten through twelh grade students. rough her teaching, performing, and most of all, passion and love for music and the music community, she has inspired people of all ages. dr. david oyen Dr. David Oyen. Associate Professor of Bassoon and Music eory at Morehead State University, was initiated in April by the Gamma Upsilon Chapter. He holds a Bachelor's Degree from the University of Nebraska- Lincoln, an Orchestral Music Diploma from the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik, Karlsruhe, Germany, and both a Master's and Doctorate in Bassoon Performance from Ohio State University. He has served as principal bassoonist of the Springfield Symphony Orchestra and performed with the Columbus Symphony Orchestra, Opera Columbus, the Roanoke Symphony, Keith Brion's New Sousa Band and OBOHIO. As a Morehead State University faculty member, he has performed with the Lexington Philharmonic, the West Virginia Symphony, the Kentucky Center Chamber Players, the Movére Wind Quintet, the Seneca Chamber Orchestra and the Baird Winds. Dr. Oyen has also performed on multiple occasions at the International Double Reed Society Conference. As a board member of the Kentucky Music Teacher Association, Dr. Oyen has served as Local Conference Host, Elementary Competitions Coordinator, First Vice-President and President. Dr. Oyen has also served on the faculty of Lutheran Summer Music since 1997 and has taught at Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp. nathan p. snyder Nathan P. Snyder was initiated by the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter in February 2012. He is conductor and artistic director for the Merion (PA) Concert Band. Prior to his appointment, Snyder served on the faculties of Pennsylvania's Gurnee, William Penn and Palisades School Districts. Snyder received his Bachelor's Degree in Music Education from Susquehanna University, concentrating on Clarinet Performance and Wind Conducting. He performs clarinet with the Eastern Wind Symphony, Southeast Pennsylvania Symphony Orchestra, and Montgomery County Concert Band. His professional affiliations include the Music Educators National Conference, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and the Association of Concert Bands. He is involved with his church music program and is a collaborator with the "Music for Manna" benefit concert that raises funds for local, non-profit, charitable entities each year. Franklin anthony wastler Franklin Anthony Wastler was initiated by the Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter in May 2011. He has taught and performed throughout the mid-Atlantic region. His major instrument is clarinet, but he also performs on the saxophone, flute, and recorder as well as singing tenor and baritone. He is currently employed as a music teacher within the School District of Philadelphia and has held previous posts at Fairfield Area School District, Wheatland Junior High School, Gettysburg College, Mt. St. Mary's College, and e United States Air Force Band. Wastler holds performance positions with Marple Newtown Community Band, Newark Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and Ensembles, Quintessence Woodwind Quintet, Virginia Grand Military Band and the Wallingford Presbyterian Church Chancel Choir and Bell Choir.
