Both the Louisville Alumnae Chapter and the location of the Kentucky Music Education Convention
were misidentified as being in Lexington.
Dear Members of SAI,
W
hile you are perusing this summer issue of PAN PIPES,
many of us will be heading to St. Louis, Missouri for
the 47
th
National SAI Convention to be held July 23-27!
Preparations have been well under way for some time, and
the culmination of our sisters' time and efforts will finally come to fruition!
As you read through this issue of Pan Pipes, you will be amazed at
the wonderful opportunities found across the country to share our love of
music. From the Brevard Music Center's production of Verdi's Rigoletto to
the International Blues Challenge in Memphis to the Musical Instrument
Museum in Phoenix, music is truly making an impact in the lives of many!
We wish that every member of our beloved Fraternity could attend
Convention! However, in our next edition of PAN PIPES we will try to
capture the excitement, music and sisterhood of our gathering as we
acknowledge the winners of this year's National Awards as well as share
articles on the various speaker presentations. As always, we will include
many pictures from Convention to enable you to "join with your sisters in
spirit" during our National Convention in St. Louis.
In SAI sisterhood,
Leslie Odom Miller,
National President
