We are well on our way to meeting the $100,000 goal by June 30, 2018, but still need your help. To date SAI Philanthropies has received almost $67,000 in gifts and pledges. Be sure that you are doing your part! What can you do to support the Pan's Cottage Campaign efforts? • Hold chapter fundraisers – photos of chapters that donate will appear on the national website; • Match pledges made by Regional or Province Officers; • Donate an individual minimum gift of $25, matching Delta Chapter's 1916 request to the National Convention; • Speak about the MacDowell Colony and Pan's Cottage at Province Days; • Read quarterly PAN PIPES for Pan's Cottage Campaign articles. Thank you for helping Sigma Alpha Iota Philanthropies make the Pan's Cottage Campaign a success! PAN'S COTTAGE CAMPAIGN O ur SAI chapters and members are continuing their efforts to meet the Pan's Cottage Campaign goal in a variety of ways. As one example, Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter sister, Deborah Krauss, and nine of her flute students presented a program: "Pan and His Magic Flute" on June 25, 2017 at the First Presbyterian Church in Williamstown, NJ. e young flute players and their teacher shared a variety of flute delights for an appreciative audience to support SAI's Pan's Cottage at the MacDowell Colony in New Hampshire. Many of their musical selections saluted Pan, including Jules Mouquet's Le Flute de Pan (2 movements: "Pan et les Bergers" and "Pan et les Oiseaux"), Johannes Donjon's Pan! Pastorale for Flute, and Claude Debussy's Syrinx. Philadelphia Alumnae sister Rheta Smith accompanied pieces for Deborah and several of her students. In addition, the program contained unaccompanied solos (including a few selections for piccolo), duets, and a quartet. e students' outstanding effort raised $250 for SAI Philanthropies, Inc.'s Pan's Cottage Campaign through a good will offering. — submitted by Linda Gagliardi, Vice President Ritual, Philadelphia Alumnae Chapter Clockwise from left, the Sigma Alpha, Nashville Alumnae, and Theta Eta Chapters are just some of the chapters supporting Pan's Cottage.
