PAN PIPES Fall 2018 31 F r a t e r n i t y 2018 SAI awards awards awards REGIONAL ALUMNAE LE ADERSHIP AWARDS D I A M O N D S W O R D O F H O N O R A N G E L I C A L O P E Z , R E G I O N I I Angelica Lopez was initiated by the Beta Xi Chapter at the University of Texas at Austin and has remained active as a longtime member of the Austin Alumnae Chapter, serving as chapter president for the past two years. She has also served as treasurer, vice president of ritual, recording secretary, and vice president of programs. Angelica has frequently performed on chapter recitals as a pianist, coordinated scholarship events, and served on numerous committees. She has received both the Sword of Honor and Rose of Honor. Active in the community, Angelica is a dedicated member and volunteer with the Austin District Music Teachers Association, Wednesday Morning Music Club, Heart of Texas Suzuki Organization, and Triumphant Love Lutheran Church. J U L I E H O F F M A N , R E G I O N I I I Julie Hoffman is an initiate of Sigma Gamma Chapter at the University of Tulsa and was most recently a member of the St. Louis Alumnae Chapter. She has served as chapter vice president of membership, vice president of ritual, editor, president, and co- president. At the national level, Julie served SAI Philanthropies as the String Education Chair from 2008-12, was on the National Election Committee in 2009, and assisted with hosting the 2015 National Convention in St. Louis. She currently volunteers with the USO of Missouri, offers free orchestra clinics to low income schools, and serves on the board of Making Music Matters. Julie has previously received the Collegiate Honor Award, Sword of Honor, and Rose of Honor. She is now the Pi B Province Officer. L A U R A C O N E S , R E G I O N V Laura Cones is an initiate of Zeta Chapter at Butler University and is currently a member of the Indianapolis Alumnae Chapter, where she has served as both chapter treasurer and president. An active committee member, Laura has helped organize chapter tours of the Indianapolis Symphony's music library and worked on the chapter's 80th Anniversary celebration. She is secretary of Footlite Musicals, treasurer of the Encore Association, and a founder of the Orkestra Projekt.
