She received her bachelor's degree in vocal performance from the University of Redlands in 2017, where she became an initiated member of SAI, and is currently working towards her masters degree in vocal performance at the University of Texas El Paso, where she is also employed as a teaching assistant. Ms. Hale has performed the role of Antonia in Offenbach's Le contes de Hoffmann, and sang in the opera chorus for Puccini's La Boheme at the University of Redlands, and is currently preparing the role of Lucy in Menotti's Telephone for Opera UTEP's fall production. She has performed various roles in scenes from Mozart's Die Zauberflüte, and Kurt Weill's Street Scene. In 2017, she won 2 nd place in the Senior Women's category of the Los Angeles Regional NATS student competition. This summer, Ms. Hale will attend OperaWorks 2018 summer program, where she hopes to gain more knowledge, insight, and experience in the field of performance. In the future, Ms. Hale hopes to pursue a career in opera, auditioning and performing anywhere and everywhere that she can. She is thankful for the love and support her family and teachers have provided, and is filled with gratitude for receiving the Blanche Z. Hoffman Memorial Award, which will help her continue her graduate studies. VOICE, FIRST PLACE B l a n c h e Z . She studied with Joanne Bozeman at Lawrence University where she graduated this Spring, and is looking forward to attending Boston Conservatory and studying with Kathryn Wright this Fall. She has had the opportunity to study in various places for the past two summers such as the renowned Cincinnati Conservatory of Music and Salzburg, Austria with the Frost School of Music at University of Miami. Previous roles and performances include the ensemble of Rossini's Le comte Ory at Lawrence University in 2018, the ensemble of Verdi's La Traviata at Cincinnati Conservatory of Music Summer Opera Studio in 2016, the ensemble in Copland's The Tender Land at Lawrence University in 2015, a dater in Michael Ching's Speed Dating Tonight! at Lawrence University in 2016, as well as multiple opera scenes productions where she has studied Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni, Servilla in Mozart's La clemenza di Tito, and Nanetta in Verdi's Falstaff.
