A graduate of Morehead State University and Ithaca College, she has studied under Dr. David Oyen and Dr. Christin Schillinger. During her time with Gamma Upsilon, she was a committee chair, editor, and president, serving as the 2015 convention delegate. She was awarded the Sword of Honor before graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Morehead State. She affiliated with the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter and then Epsilon Chapter while pursuing her master's degree in bassoon performance from Miami University (OH) and Ithaca College, transferring to follow Dr. Schillinger. Brittany has been selected for master classes given by many internationally renowned bassoonists such as Michael Burns, Susan Nelson, Chris Weait, Loren Glickman, and Martin Kuuskmann, and was also invited to participate in a master class at the International Double Reed Society 2017 Conference given by Marc Vallon. An advocate for contemporary chamber music, Brittany has served as a founding member to six new groups since 2012, all of which have slated new music on their programs. Brittany is currently exploring 21st Century American women composers and their underrepresentation in modern classical programming. She hopes to use this research to compile an online, interactive database of women composers and their works. Brittany is attending Michigan State University this fall to pursue her Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Bassoon Performance. Jenna graduated from Eastern Kentucky University with a bachelor's degree in music performance and music industry in 2016. In 2013 and 2015, Jenna was a featured soloist with the EKU Symphony Orchestra. She has performed at the Bay View, Sewanee Summer, and Marrowstone Music Festivals. Jenna has performed with the Dayton Philharmonic, Evansville Philharmonic, and the Bach Ensemble of St. Thomas. She was the Kentucky winner of both the 2018 National Society of Arts and Letters Woodwinds and the 2017 MTNA Woodwinds Young Artist Competitions, and the 2016 recipient of the NAFME Carolyn Nelson Double Reed Award. A third generation SAI, Jenna is an initiate of Eta Sigma Chapter. She held the offices of Sergeant at Arms, VP Ritual, and President. She was the recipient of the Scholastic Award, Sword of Honor, and Ruby Sword of Honor. Since early 2017, Jenna has been a member of the Cincinnati Alumnae Chapter. In Fall of 2018, Jenna will begin her Doctoral studies at the University of Iowa, serving as the oboe teaching assistant and will also join the faculty of Cornell College as the oboe studio instructor.
