PAN PIPES Fall 2018 5 2018 NATIONAL CONVENTION JENNIFER Z. MISTRETTA NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT, EXTENSION Jennifer Zerangue Mistretta is an initiate of the Iota Omicron Chapter at the University of Louisiana where she earned both her Bachelor's in Accounting and her Master's in Business Administration. As a collegiate member of SAI, Jennifer was awarded an undergraduate scholarship by SAI Philanthropies, Inc. She also served as collegiate chapter treasurer where she was able to obtain a grant through SAI Philanthropies, Inc. for her chapter's annual service project. She was awarded the National Collegiate Treasurer's Award at the 2003 Centennial Convention in Dearborn, MI. Jennifer went on to serve as president of her collegiate chapter and was awarded the National Collegiate Leadership Award and both the Sword of Honor and Ruby Sword of Honor. Upon graduating, she received the Scholastic Award and the Collegiate Honor Award. While pursuing her Master's, Jennifer affiliated with the Lafayette Alumnae chapter, serving as the chapter's Vice President of Ritual. In 2006, she was elected Omega A Province Officer and has served as the SAI National Vice President of Finance from 2009-2018. In her role as the NVP, Finance, she also served as an ex-officio member of the Board of Directors of SAI Philanthropies, Inc. During her term on the NEB, Jennifer has been awarded the Wreath of Achievement and the Ring of Excellence. Currently residing in the greater New Orleans area, Jennifer has been active in local philanthropic projects, including raising funds for the American Heart Association. Jennifer is a licensed Certified Public Accountant in the State of Louisiana. She is an Associate Director at Postlethwaite & Netterville, named as one of the top 100 firms in the U.S. She is a member of the Louisiana Society of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. She is a graduate of the 2011 AICPA Leadership Program and currently serves as a member of a sub- committee of the Board of Examiners (the entity that has oversight of the CPA exam). Jennifer's work with the Fraternity, Philanthropies, and connections with SAI members across the country has given her an avenue to remain connected to the field of music. Jennifer is grateful to have had the opportunity to serve SAI for the past twelve years. CHRISTINE HALL NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT, FRATERNITY DEVELOPMENT Christine Hall is an initiate of the Iota Beta chapter at Murray State University, where she played the flute while earning a bachelor's degree in print journalism. She also holds a master's degree in journalism from e Ohio State University. She is currently Senior Innovation Writer for the Texas Medical Center's Pulse magazine. Previously, Christine spent nearly 10 years in various reporting roles for the Houston Business Journal. During that time, she operated a freelance writing business. She moved to Houston, Texas and joined the alumnae chapter there, holding various offices, including president. Christine served as Kappa D PO from 2004-2006 and again in 2012-2015. Between that time, she spent six years as the Communications and Listserv Director for the fraternity. Following the 2015 convention, Christine was appointed Secretary of SAI Philanthropies, Inc. In 2016, she was appointed National Vice President, Fraternity Development. Her fraternity honors include the Sword of Honor and Rose of Honor. Christine is married and has two sons. She enjoys reading advice columns and drinking Dr. Pepper Icees. KERI FLOWERS NATIONAL VICE PRESIDENT, FINANCE Keri is beginning her first term as National Vice President, Finance. She previously served the fraternity as a Province Officer for two terms (2012-2018). Keri was initiated in 2007 by Delta Zeta chapter at Troy University in Troy, Alabama where she held many chapter offices. While at Troy, she earned her bachelor's in mathematics and secondary education and was an active member of the 'Sound of the South' marching and concert bands, playing flute and piccolo. Keri is a Sword of Honor recipient. Keri also holds a master's degree in mathematics from the University of Alabama and is currently pursuing her doctorate in secondary mathematics education from Auburn University. She is currently a Lecturer at Troy University in the Department of Teacher Education and also serves as the coordinator for P12 and Secondary Education programs. Keri's career in education started with teaching high school, then working for ACCESS Distance Learning, and most recently serving as the high school math specialist for the Alabama Math, Science, and Technology Initiative (AMSTI).
