PAN PIPES Spring 2019 21 T he SAI booth at the 2019 Missouri Music Educators Association Convention, held on January 23-26, 2019 in Osage Beach, Missouri, had about 150 sisters visit. The display assisted members in connecting with the St. Louis, Kansas City, Springfield, and Columbia Alumnae Chapters. A step sing was also enjoyed by SAIs in attendance. Submitted by Roxanda Fenelon, St. Louis Alumnae Chapter STATE MUSIC CONFERENCES SAI at State Music Education Conferences Each year the Fraternity accepts grant applications from SAI chapters for booths and displays at state music education conferences. e following represent some of those who participated this past year. T he East Texas Alumnae (Kappa B Province) sponsored the SAI booth at the Texas Music Educators Association Convention in San Antonio, Texas on February 14-16, 2019. It had been several years since there had been an SAI booth at TMEA, and with over 350 SAI members visiting the display, it was a rousing success! One of the highlights of the booth was the beautiful picture frame, made by San Antonio Alumnae member Kelsee Wuebben, that allowed sisters to have fun posing with their friends and posting on social media. Submitted by JoAn White and Teresa Gray, East Texas Alumnae Chapter T he Wichita Alumnae ( Theta B Province) sponsored the SAI booth at the Kansas Music Educators Association Convention in Wichita, Kansas on February 21-23, 2019. In the picture above, members Kayla Smith, Dianne Briggs, and Mily Montanez helped share information and sold T-shirts at the SAI table. Submitted by Audrey Garvey, Wichita Alumnae Chapter In January of 2019, the Tampa Alumnae Chapter, in conjunction with the Tampa Bay Alumni Association of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, sponsored an exhibitor booth at the Florida Music Education Association (FMEA) Conference in Tampa, Florida. Sisters from the Tampa Alumnae and Lambda Omicron chapters greeted sisters from around the country. An "SAI Sing" was also organized via text messages, and participants sang The Whistle Song, So Near, So Dear and the SAI Chorale. Submitted by Damara Chaudhuri, President, Tampa Alumnae Chapter
