Many thanks to the members of these task forces for all the work put into the final recommendations. SAI Philanthropies, Inc. board members reviewed the recommendations this past summer. Here are highlights of updates made to annual and triennial awards. • The Alumnae Project Seed Grants will be combined with the Chapter Outreach Grants. The award amount of $500 will remain the same and will be available for both collegiate and alumnae chapters for the musical enrichment of the campus or community beyond the membership of SAI. • A committee will be formed to review the repertoire for the Career Performance Grant. Stay tuned for further updates. • The Music Education Outreach Grant will now be awarded annually instead of triennially. SAI members or music teachers sponsored by an SAI member may apply for projects up to $5,000. • Music theater repertoire will be added to the triennial Undergraduate Performance award. Now is the time to begin your plans for applying for an SAI Philanthropies scholarship or grant. Most of the deadlines are March 15, so please plan accordingly.
