In this role, he enhanced the school's interdisciplinary collaborations, strengthened the institution's connection with the local community, and helped TCNJ earn accreditation by the National Association of Schools of Art and Design. In addition, Day led guitar studies at TCNJ from and served as Interim Dean of the School of the Arts and Communication in 2017. He has also held positions at Rider University and New York Summer Music Festival.} Day earned a Bachelor of Music in Performance from North Carolina School of the Arts and a Master of Music and a Doctor of Musical Arts in Performance and Literature from Eastman School of Music at the University of Rochester. Keith Erickson Keith Erickson was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter in March. For 30 years, Erickson held a position in engineering and engineering management at Ford Motor Company. Now he is retired and lives in Sun City West with his wife, Lauren, who is the current Omicron Province Officer for SAI. Keith has contributed immensely to Lauren's musical endeavor, building her flute studio in their basement, assisting with the logistics of hosting every studio recital, and setting up their company, Erickson Flute & Ensemble (EFE) LLC. As co-owner of EFE for 18 years, he managed much of the behind the scenes work. Some of his roles included Chief Financial Officer, web designer, audio systems engineer, roadie, office manager, recording master, and equipment manager. After EFE closed in 2020, Keith helped Lauren establish "Flute a la Carte" as a successful mobile performance stage in driveway concerts and care centers. Throughout the years, Keith has been a strong supporter of SAI. He helped Lauren with hosting events and meetings for the Pontchartrain Alumnae Chapter. He continues to show his interest in supporting the local music community and the Phoenix Alumnae Chapter. Yoojin Muhn Dr. Yoojin Muhn was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the San Antonio Alumnae Chapter in January. Dr. Muhn serves as the Director of Choral Activities at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she directs the UTSA Chamber Singers, and teaches choral conducting for both undergraduate and graduate students. Dr. Muhn recently joined the San Antonio Mastersingers on their 78th season of musical excellence and serves as their music director. In addition, she has been invited to conduct Mozart's Requiem with the New York City Chamber Orchestra in Manhattan Concert Productions (MCP)'s Masterwork Series at Carnegie Hall in June 2023. Prior to coming to Texas, she served as the Artistic Director of the Tucson Masterworks Chorale in Tucson, AZ and directed the Oriana Women's Chorus, and led the Concert Choir as an assistant director at the University of Southern California. Dr. Muhn received a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Choral Music with honors from the University of Southern California, the Master of Music degrees in Choral Conducting from the University of Cincinnati and in Sacred Music from Westminster Choir College where she graduated with distinction, and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Composition from SookMyung Women's University in Seoul, Korea. Robert Skoniczin Robert Skoniczin was initiated as a Friend of the Arts by the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter at West Chester University in March. Professor Skoniczin is an adjunct professor of trumpet for the Wells School of Music at West Chester University. He received his B.M. from Gettysburg College and his M.M. from the Manhattan School of Music. His teaching style has been described as positive, energetic, and comprehensive; finding creative ways to address difficulties that students are having is a hallmark of his pedagogy. His students have regularly performed in solo and trumpet ensemble divisions at the National Trumpet Competition, International Trumpet Guild, and taken top prize in the inaugural Ginger Turner Small Ensemble Division at the International Women's Brass Conference. Having performed in numerous brass quintets throughout his career, Rob now performs with Kryos Brass, the West Chester University faculty brass quintet. Skoniczin's career has combined a love for teaching music at all levels as well as performing in a variety of settings, including classical, commercial, jazz, and touring Broadway shows. Rob has backed various star attractions such as Aretha Franklin, Martina McBride, Anne Murray, Pete Fountain, Marvin Hamlisch, Mannheim Steamroller, and The Who with Roger Daltrey and Pete Townshend. He can be heard on several recordings including Manhattan Transfer's DVD The Christmas Concert, Reanimations and Shadowcatcher with the West Chester University Wind Ensemble, The Quest for Adventure with Tromba Mundi, American Anthems with the Gramercy Brass Orchestra, and numerous spots for NFL Films. Rob maintains a busy schedule with professional ensembles in the region: he has performed with Delaware Symphony, Allentown Symphony, and Reading Symphony; Opera Philadelphia and OperaDelaware; Pennsylvania Ballet; Chamber Orchestra of Philadelphia; Ocean City Pops; and Liberty Wind Symphony. In December 2019, Rob made his debut as principal trumpet with the Bach Choir Festival Orchestra of Bethlehem, PA. This exciting opportunity showcased his piccolo trumpet virtuosity on arguably some of the most famous and challenging trumpet works in the repertoire. He is a member of the National Band Association, the International Trumpet Guild, and Phi Beta Kappa. He is a performing artist for S.E. Shires trumpets.
