Grant. This spring, the Denver Alumnae Chapter launched a new initiative entitled Growing Young Musicians. This project was designed to raise and provide funds for instruments, music, and other needed materials to music programs at Title I schools in the Denver Metro Area. The chapter raised funds through member direct donations and a plant sale, Flower Power Fundraising. They raised over $700 and were able to grant each of the seven requests they received from music educators in the Denver Public School System. All instruments, materials, and funds were shipped directly to the schools in order to ensure each educator could effectively plan for the 2023-2024 academic year. The chapter looks forward to expanding this project in the fall, both to include additional school districts in the Denver Metro Area and to increase the maximum amount they can fund with each grant.
