Every
year, the Iota Beta Chapter hosts an event called All
Campus Sing. This event is hosted every April on
the historic steps of Lovett Auditorium at Murray
State University. The chapter invites groups and organizations from across the
campus to create routines full of singing and dancing. The event unites people
from all facets of campus through music. Sisters of the Iota Beta Chapter coach
routines and teach people to sing. At the conclusion of the event, the chapter
puts on a spectacular finale.
The
Zeta Tau Chapter planned teach-ins
with different elementary schools in
the Orlando area. In addition to the
teach-ins, the chapter hosted a fundraiser for the schools to
purchase supplies and instruments. The chapter introduced
many instruments to the children, taught them some facts
about the various instruments, played listening games
using sisters as the instrumentalists, and taught them
about conducting. The chapter then held a rose fundraiser
which raised $900. The chapter is using these funds to buy
Waterford Elementary School enough recorders for each
student to have one!
