The
Nu Zeta Chapter worked with a local after-
school music program, Accent Pontiac. The
chapter used grant money they received
through the Pontchartrain Alumnae Chapter, along with chapter
fundraisers, to provide and deliver meals to elementary aged students
who were involved in the program.
The
A l p h a Iota Chapter orchestrated
their first School of Music formal
event called the Rose Ball. This
event was a ticketed dance for anyone within the School of
Music, which aimed to unify music students post-COVID.
They fundraised about $1,000 from tickets, which will
go toward five instruments for the Adopt-an-Instrument
project that donates instruments to local schools in the
Norman, OK area. There was such a positive response by
the School of Music faculty to this event that they have
been urged to continue doing this as an annual fundraiser.
