Alpha A, Region VII
The Ann Arbor Alumnae Chapter continued their
partnership with the Ypsilanti District Library, helping
build their music library with musical instruments and
equipment. They donated a guitar and accessories
last year, which had been checked out five times and
had three holds. This year, they tripled their efforts,
donating: a 61-key keyboard with bag and accessories;
a microphone; a microphone stand with clips and bag;
and a drum machine and case. They are continuing
to work with the library to get patron instrument
requests and to purchase and donate those items.
HUNTSVILLE
Rho A, Region IV
Each year in February, the Huntsville Alumnae Chapter has the
privilege of helping the Huntsville Symphony Orchestra with their
Family Free Day Concert and activities. They help set up and run
many of the stations where children can touch and interact with
instruments, use boomwhackers, learn about conducting, and many
other stations, making it a fun musical experience for all.
