2024 SIGMA ALPHA IOTA PAN PIPES FALL 2024 22 Fraternity Awards 2024 SIGMA ALPHA IOTA PAN PIPES FALL 2024 22 ETA THETA Western Carolina University, Psi A, Region VII The Roses and Pearls Tea is the largest fundraising event for Eta Theta, being a collaborative event for current sisters, alumnae, and members of the surrounding community. The chapter also had support from brothers of the local Kappa Kappa Psi and Phi Mu Alpha chapters as waiters. The chapter combined this tea party with their love of music by hosting performances from their sisters and members of the School of Music at WCU. They raised $1,250 for the Jackson County Arts Council this year. CATEGORY III (36+ MEMBERS) E. JANE RUBY NATIONAL COLLEGIATE SERVICE PROJECT AWARDS PI Drake University, Xi B, Region III Pi chapter has gone to Carlisle Care Center three times this year to perform for their residents. Carlisle is a long- term care facility where a majority of their residents are one- hundred percent reliant on Medicare, meaning the center has very few resources to bring in outside entertainment and programming. The chapter did individual and small group instrumental and vocal performances, as well as large group vocal performances of several SAI songs like The Pipes of Pan, The Whistle Song, and So Near, So Dear is SAI. CATEGORY II (21-35 MEMBERS) THETA ALPHA The Ohio State University, Sigma B, Region VII Theta Alpha hosted a professional development retreat that featured faculty guest speakers and was open to the public. The goal of the retreat was to increase the community of women musicians on campus and to cater sessions to the interests of students. While organizing the events, the chapter polled students on what topics they would like to see presented, and which speakers they would like to hear from. Theta Alpha then organized the retreat in collaboration with another music Greek life organization.
