Philanthropies Awards 2024 SIGMA ALPHA IOTA PAN PIPES FALL 2024 29 BETA PSI East Carolina University, Tau D, Region VI Beta Psi assisted in efforts to fundraise for the music program at Wahl-Coates Elementary School. They held various fundraisers such as a karaoke night, lollipop raffle, and a Chipotle fundraiser night. These funds assisted in purchasing a drum set kit and several keyboards for the school. GAMMA THETA Georgia Southern University, Tau C, Region VI The Chapter Outreach Grant allowed Gamma Theta to grow their chapter's biggest philanthropic project. They were able to assist three music programs in the area with over $700 worth of instruments and classroom aids. By continuously expanding the project, the chapter both strengthens their relationship within the community and actively supports the next generation of musicians. XI Lawrence University, Epsilon A, Region III The Chapter Outreach Grant helped fund Dr. Amanda Harberg's residency at Lawrence University. Dr. Harberg worked directly with the university's flute studio, coaching students and providing insight into her works. She also gave an educational presentation that explained her compositional process to the various students and faculty. This project gave many more students at Lawrence University the opportunity to work with a well- known, female living composer. NORTHERN DELAWARE ALUMNAE Chi A, Region VIII The Northern Delaware Alumnae Chapter helped fund needed music supplies for the strings program at Brookside Elementary School. They used this grant along with their own chapter's Meg D'Errico Memorial Grant to generate more community awareness of how important music education is in schools. PHOENIX ALUMNAE Omicron, Region I The Phoenix Alumnae Chapter helped fund an Adjustrite Tall adjustable cello chair for the Higley High School music department in Gilbert, AZ. Since not everyone is the same height, this will assist the current student who needs it for proper posture playing the cello. It will also help anyone who will need it in the future in their music department. TAMPA ALUMNAE Lambda D, Region VI (w/Delta Chi) The Tampa Alumnae Chapter joined with the Delta Chi chapter for their combined outreach project. Together, they raised funds for Lincoln Elementary School's strings program in Plant City, FL. CHAPTER OUTREACH GRANTS
