ALUMNAE SERVICE PROJECT AWARDS
Memphis
Mu A, Region IV
Members of the Memphis Alumnae Chapter assisted with the Capleville UMC Holiday
Concert Series, which benefits their food pantry serving over one hundred families in two local
areas. The chapter donated goods, served as ushers, and volunteered in the nursery for those
with small children who wanted to attend the concert.
Milwaukee
Epsilon A, Region III
The Milwaukee Alumnae Chapter presented a musicale, sing-along, and reception for
residents at the Ascension Living Lakeshore – Sienna Shoreline Memory Support in Racine,
Wisconsin. Musical performances included instrumental and vocal selections, and audience
members received a program that included the lyrics to the sing-along portion of the program.
CATEGORY II (21-35 MEMBERS)
Cleveland
Sigma C, Region VII
The Cleveland Alumnae Chapter sponsored an annual String Scholarship Competition.
Twenty-one students ages 9–14 applied to perform excerpts from two contrasting styles of
music. Two professional string players from the Cleveland Orchestra judged the auditions,
who commented that the quality of the auditions was outstanding. The top three winners
and two honorable mentions received a total of $1,700 in scholarships and performed
at a musicale.
