Arns Iota Lambda, University of Missouri, Pi B, Region III Dr. Megan Arns is Associate Professor and Director of Percussion Studies at the University of Missouri, and an internationally-recognized percussionist, educator, and scholar. She has served on the Board of Directors and as Second Vice President of the Percussive Arts Society and maintains an active career as a performer, presenter, composer, and clinician. Dr. Arns has commissioned and premiered more than one hundred works for percussion, and has performed and presented at conferences throughout the United States and internationally. She is also a founding member of the DRAX Saxophone and Percussion Duo. As Financial Advisor to Iota Lambda, Dr. Arns has been an invaluable source of guidance, encouragement, and support. She makes herself readily available to chapter officers, offering thoughtful advice and helping members navigate questions and challenges with confidence. Whether assisting with financial matters, helping officers identify solutions, or connecting the chapter with appropriate university and Fraternity resources, Dr. Arns consistently approaches her role with professionalism, patience, and care. Dr. Arns encourages members to take ownership of their responsibilities while providing the support they need to succeed. She promotes responsible decision-making, accountability, and open communication, and is a trusted resource when chapter leaders need assistance. Her support extends beyond chapter operations; she takes a genuine interest in the well-being and development of members and works to ensure that officers feel supported as they grow into their leadership roles. She also encourages prospective members to become involved with Sigma Alpha Iota and supports the continued growth and success of the chapter. Despite the many demands of her professional career, Dr. Arns has demonstrated a steadfast commitment to Iota Lambda. Her accessibility, sound guidance, compassion, and willingness to step forward whenever the chapter needs her have made a lasting impact on its members. Through her dedication and example, Dr. Arns embodies the qualities of an outstanding chapter advisor and the ideals of Sigma Alpha Iota.
